Please prepare the following questions:


1.     Interpret the following:

a.     “Any span of the cycle lived without vigorous meaning, at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end, endangers the sense of life and the meaning of death in all whose life stages are intertwined”

2.     Erikson defines wisdom as: “Detached concern with life itself, in the face of death.”  Why detached?  Why is death a necessary ingredient?

3.     What is meant here by “integrity” and what effect does a person with it have on others?
